There's an App for that! Salesforce1 Mobile
And we all thought the Today feature on SF1 mobile was the coolest thing we've seen since they opened up the App to include Custom Objects. There is so much more that SF1 mobile can do and display for your business. I remember the old days (not so long ago) when Reps were scrambling to make a case to purchase Mobile Heavy for the business. Then it was a battle between the haves and have nots... Now the capabilities are even greater with Publisher Actions!
I've recently moved over to a new Org and am working to optimize (and by optimize, I mean customize) the App to really fit the needs of our business. I've enlisted a few colleagues to start testing out the App and with their feedback, my plan is to improve and fully launch the App to everyone before year end.

Not sure who may be using SF1? Export the login history for your users and look for the "Salesforce1 for iOS" entries
Publisher Actions:
Identify a process/action that is happening on a regular basis for your users. Where can you save the user data entry time? Ask your users what he/she needs most (You can use FieldTrip on AppEx to verify the validity before building) Use that to build out an Action to make it easier to enter data quickly/efficiently into SF. BONUS: This can increase adoption of mobile usage, leading to additional mobile development and increased data quality in SF!
Take your instance of Salesforce and add “one/one.app” and it will allow you to see the SF1 Mobile App display on your computer that would show up for your users when clicking on the SF1 mobile app. This can be very beneficial when designing for SF1 (easier interface during development/testing)
Create Page Layouts Optimized for Mobile:
Compact Layouts in Salesforce1 will Display the Key Fields of an Object at the Top of the Page. Consider creating formula fields to display links directly into your mobile device. Email alerts accessed on mobile that take user directly into the SF1 App (NOT Safari)! You can create this by using the following formula:
View in SF1: "com.salesforce.salesforce1://entity/view?entityId="& Id
